As a Co-Founder of Izana Payroll, Mick Nijher is passionate about making payroll simple, accurate, and stress-free for small businesses across the United States. With over 15 years of experience in accounting, tax, payroll, and advisory services, Mick brings a strategic and client-centered approach to payroll—helping business owners stay compliant, reduce administrative workload, and focus on what they do best.

Aside from launching Izana Payroll, Mick leads Unity Business Advisors, a well-respected CPA firm in Lynnwood, WA, where he has built and managed a team of over 25 professionals serving the Greater Seattle business community. His leadership and expertise earned him national recognition, including a spot on CPA Practice Advisor’s “40 Under 40” list in 2024. He also gained valuable experience at PwC in San Francisco, focusing on complex tax and compliance issues for growing businesses.

Mick is a licensed CPA in Washington State and holds a Master of Professional Accounting in Taxation from the University of Washington. He is also a Certified Tax Planner and active member of the AICPA, WSCPA, and the American Institute of Certified Tax Planners. He brings this deep industry knowledge to Izana Payroll, where he works with business owners to deliver reliable, tailored payroll solutions.
